We are a family owned and operated full service Hunter/Jumper facility in Hampshire, IL, just minutes off of Interstate 90 and only 20-30 minutes from the northwest suburbs.

We have been in business for over 20 years and have just built a state-of-the-art facility in Hampshire. Some of the amenities are: 72’X180’ heated indoor riding ring, 125’X250’ all weather sand ring and a 300’X300’ grass Grand Prix field with natural obstacles, including a bank that is 125’X125’ and eight feet tall. The stalls are all 12’X12’, the aisle is twelve feet wide and has radiant heat which is kept at a comfortable 50 degrees in the winter. There are three tack rooms and heated wash racks with hot and cold running water. We have eight grass paddocks, which are one acre a piece, six grass paddocks that are ¼ acre each and two all weather limestone paddocks for turnout in poor weather.

Canterbury Farm attends horse shows on local, regional, national, and international levels. While we try to show as much as we can in the Midwest we travel to Florida in the winter and have routinely qualified many horses for the Pennsylvania National, Washington International and what used to be the National Horse Show.

Our trainer Greg Franklin has had success in all three disciplines - Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation. Not only has he qualified horses for all three indoor horse shows, he has shown at the National Horse Show, at Madison Square Garden, and won numerous year end awards in Zone 5. He has also trained equitation champions, including the Reserve Champion at the ASPCA Maclay regionals in 1997. Greg also competes in the Grand Prix ring and has competed internationally at Spruce Meadows several times.
